You all need to check out these three bands which will be featured in the upcoming film Cookies & Cream.
First up is: The Rollo Treadway (pictured). This local Brooklyn band is a complete throwback to the psychedelic jam bands of the 60's and 70's! They remind me of a cross between The Who and The Beach Boys. Their track "Rua Gararu 188" will be featured in the film. You can buy their album on itunes, or at www.myspace.com/therollotreadway.
Second, we have Rosemary's Garden. Their fun rock track "Adelaide" will be in the movie. Their overall sound is a sort of gritty all american rock with a little thoughtful folk added in for flavor. You can hear their songs and learn more about them at www.myspace.com/rosemarysgarden.
Last but not least: The Golden Age Of Radio. Self described on myspace as: "indie/indie/indie," this local Brooklyn group brings a hard rock ambiance to their indie style. They actually perform live in One Way's upcoming production A Life In Rewind (at Arlene's Grocery!) and one of the actors in the movie (Julia Howe) is a member of the band! Check them out at www.myspace.com/thegoldenageofradio
