Last Friday's Book and Editorial Opening at the Society of Illustrators was really fantastic. Aside from the stellar show in the main gallery, the Society's hallways and dining room are always packed with classic art from their permanent collection. Rockwell, Parrish, Cornwell and Leyendecker are all common sights. But I was really surprised to see Frank Frazetta's 'Conan the Destroyer' on display! The painting, though not part of SoI's collection, is on loan from the Frazetta Museum.
Fellow Muddy, Donato Giancola, takes a closer look at Frazetta's original painting.
