Screening of Award-Winning Doc "Under Our Skin"

Our own Executive-in-Charge, graphic Art Director J. L. Menzel is putting South Dakota on the Lyme Map! Here's her personal invitation:

"Thanks to the sponsorship of Natural Abundance, I'm hosting the first ever screening event in South Dakota of the award-winning documentary, 'Under Our Skin'.

'Under Our Skin ' is the first film to cover the complexities surrounding the Lyme Disease controversy. Here is the trailer:

Whether the CDC reports it or not, Lyme lives in every state.

Unfortunately, outdated Lyme guidelines, lack of research and strict diagnostic criteria are hindering our local doctors, and doctors across the nation, from properly diagnosing their patients, resulting in ineffective treatments and difficult to reverse or permanent body system damage.

If you or a loved one suffer from a mystery illness or have been labeled with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Depression, Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, Lupus, or other unexplained and seemingly untreatable symptoms, I highly encourage you to come join the party and check out this movie!

Even if you have never experienced any health problems, this is an eye-opening film that can broaden your knowledge base. You never know when someone, including yourself, may benefit from seemingly frivolous information! Besides, there's coffee nearby and it will more than likely have a lot of fun people there.

The event starts at 6:30 PM where I'll talk briefly about my decade long (and ongoing) battle with Lyme. I'll also address how changing my lifestyle habits to a more holistic approach has aided immensely in my continuing recovery.

After the movie is finished, I'll take questions anyone might have. For those that can't stick around for a short time afterwards, plenty of information will be available to take home with you.

There will be 3 'Under Our Skin' DVD's available to win. You just need to attend and enter your name into the drawing. We will draw for and announce the winners after the Q&A wrap.

Last, but not least, I want to especially invite any filmmakers to this event that might be interested in teaming up with my New York City based independent film company, One Way or Another Productions.

We are amidst pre-production planning and grant writing stages for a new Lyme documentary.

Find us at www.1wayoranother.net

Donations will be accepted and be put toward the budget of the film. As a team, we are open to anyone interested in investing or contributing in any way.

If you are even the slightest bit interested, join this laid back, intellectually social event-with-a-cause so I can keep you in the loop!

If you're in Aberdeen, we hope to see you there!!"
