Here is the full version of Celia C. Peters' short documentary Rethinking Beauty. Celia also produced and directed the short doc Editing Uptown: A Tale of 2 Scenes that appears on the special edition DVD for Brian Ackley's debut film Uptown.
Rethinking Beauty was produced in association with Brian Ackley and Hal Eisenberg of WOO Films. It highlights Shortstack, a NYC-based modeling organization that embraces girls of all shapes and sizes. Shortstack uses non-traditional modeling to drown out negative and exclusionary messages about beauty and body image that bombard women in this country and instead build confidence and self-esteem in girls and young women. Celia served as Producer, Director, Writer and Cinematographer on the film. Here it is below:
